Job description
We are looking for an experienced Primary Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves the management and implementation of high-speed primary packaging lines, ensuring product safety and compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-of-line equipment and maintaining high-speed production efficiency, specifically handling packaging rates of 100-300 units per minute.
Profile Requirements:
Experience:
- Strong experience in industrial packaging, particularly within the food, chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with high-speed production lines and end-of-line equipment, such as packing, wrapping, and sealing.
Skills:
- Expertise in managing packaging equipment, including check weighing, metal detection, and X-ray machines, ensuring 100% food-safe products.
- Proficiency in flow wrapping, pilot testing, and buffering processes.
- Strong understanding of visual control equipment online, particularly X-ray and metal detection systems.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage new primary packaging lines, ensuring high-speed production efficiency (100-300 units per minute).
- Oversee end-of-line equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Conduct pilot testing and buffering to streamline packaging processes.
- Ensure all packaging equipment and processes comply with industry regulations and standards for product safety.
- Maintain and optimize visual control equipment, such as X-ray and metal detection systems, to guarantee product safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve packaging workflows and resolve any technical issues.
Languages:
- Proficiency in Dutch and English is required.
